But this revelation is known by blind scientist Niander Wallace (Jared Leto), owner of Wallace Corporation, creator and manufacturer of the Nexus 8 (heir of the previous Tyrell Corporation that manufactured the Nexus 6 that had collapsed during a world blackout in 2022), who is obsessed to create replicants able to bring new life. Unknown to "K", Wallace orders his personal assistant, a Nexus 8 named Luv (Sylvia Hoeks), to find Deckard in order to get him to reveal the location of the child he had with Rachael. But the mission gets complicated for "K" when he starts to question his own false memories, wondering if he could be Deckard's child, and not the replicant that he was thought to be. As "K"'s investigation progresses, and his steps point toward Deckard, Luv's steps point toward "K", in a race against the clock to see who finds Deckard first. Duration 164 M.

This movie is incredible. i had serious doubts going in (sick of the current wave of reboots, strongly dislike jared leto. the og blade runner is my favorite movie of all time and i thought there was no way this could do it justice. well, it completely shattered my expectations. it was such a beautiful experience to sit in the theater and be enveloped by the slow purposeful meditative atmosphere for nearly 3 hours. cant wait for dune.

Mediocre at best. Aside from McDormand and Harrelson, the acting was poor. Storyline and plot were bland, stereotypical impressions that Hollywood liberals cast on rural communities. The movies' intended message, forgiveness and closure, was over shadowed by Hollywood's true agenda.

"Blade Runner 2049, is the sequel to Ridley Scott's "Blade Runner" from 1982 and "Blade Runner 2049, stars Ryan Gosling as Officer K, a Blade Runner himself who is investigating a mystery involving a child and needs the help of Deckard (Harrison Ford) to help him solve the case.

This movie is a visual marvel. It is a gorgeous film to look at and Roger Deakins once again does a fabulous job in crafting the cinematography for this film. I feel like the cinematography and the production design really go hand in hand for this one, because if one wasn't good then the other would be just as bad, so luckily it seemed like this was an instance where visions for production design and cinematography worked hand in hand.

Everything thing from sound editing to sound mixing and the editing itself in general is seamless. The musical score for this film really resembles that of the original score from the first one., and that was something that I really appreciated.

The performances all across the board were really good, but I would just say that Ana de Armas was serviceable in this, but everyone else, from Ryan Gosling to Harrison Ford, gave outstanding performances.

The same can't be said for Jared Leto, who continues to get shunned by Warner Bros and only has two scenes in the entire 163 minute runtime thanks to misleading marketing, which bring me to my flaws.

The misleading marketing is one. The film's trailers were edited and marketed in a way to make it look like Jared Leto was the main antagonist in the film, and he isn't. He even gets a spot on the poster for his two scenes of work that equal about 8 minutes of screen time. Good job Warner Bros. Keep screwing him over.

Also, this film's pacing SUCKS BIG RED DONKEY PENIS. Jeez Oh crow, this film did not have to be as long as it was. Sure the original had scenes that felt slow, but there were only two or three in the original. In this one, there's about a 40 minute chunk where there is literally nothing going on. What doesn't help is that a lot of the scenes are long, drawn-out, and sometimes really quiet. Now I know what I'm getting into when I see a Blade Runner movie. I'm not expecting action scenes at this point, but my god don't let people be bored out of their minds for a good chunk of the movie.

With that being said, the story kept me interested in the movie despite its slow as balls pacing, and really got me thinking. People will be mad about e film's pacing and will probably be mad that this isn't an action movie and requires a lot of thought, because people nowadays don't like movies that require a lot of thought. *Cough* ALIEN COVENANT (great movie btw) Cough*

Despite the ever excruciatingly slow as hell pace it's still a very good movie that doesn't act as a setup for another movie for a new franchise, thank god, and I am going to give "Blade Runner 2049 an A.

I was worried about watching this because I love the first one so much but this movie is fantastic. Best movie ever by the way, not even joking. I was crying then laughing the next second. I've had my favorite movies and I had no intention of ever changing them. I wanted to watch this movie because I love Sam Rockwell as an actor however I have fallen in love with Frances and the others on this emotional rollercoaster of a movie. I have never felt this way about a movie before and I've told everyone to go and watch it. If I could write a 5 page essay about why this movie is so remarkable I would.

Honestly every shot is staggering. You can take any shot from the film and frame it, it's a work of art. SO HYPED for the new anime announced! Bladerunner Black Lotus will be produced by Watanabe and the people who did GITS SAC and Appleseed. CANNOT WAIT. I cannot stress enough how utterly brilliant this film is. 100% perfection. Just watched it and omg this is art.

All replicants created before the Black Out now have a much better chance to blend in with humans as long as the are missing their right eye (which contains their serial number) that's why Iggy rips his own eye at the end. Now that explains the line from Officer K (Ryan Gosling) to Deckard Things were simpler then... Don't walk away Renee. such a great lyric. ss in small towns.

What I loved most about this movie is the musical score. Damn they really know how to set a tone. Also, watched this in the theaters a few year back without knowing a single thing about bladerunner. Only watched it cause it sounded cool. Boy was I in for a ride. Its just 180 pesos and in US its 3. Yeah. the 1974 version was a bit better. It was really a surprise that Albert Finney was as good as he was in it. Sir Derek is one of the greatest living actors and here he is AGAIN playing the butler to a murdered man like he did in Gosford Park. (Branagh is a protege of Jacobi. Dame Judi and Michelle Pfeifer were well cast. Penelope Cruz very MIScast.

Couldn't get through it. Tried. Unless one can make a better movie the one should not remake a movie at all. This film was beautiful and engrossing. I haven't felt that kind of immersion in a film for so long. This is the best drama movie ever made from Fox Searchlight Pictures. Who else wet their pants as soon as the Vangelis music kicked in.
